We made our annual trip to Flaming Gorge this summer, this time with Nana and Papa! We had a great time, the weather was perfect and the kids finally caught fish with Papa! They have been fishing a few times and never caught fish so they kept saying that they just needed Papa to go because he is "famous" for his fishing;)
they were equally excited about the crawdads they caught...
and then kept in Hudson's coffee can. (they were so excited about two empty coffee cans I kept for them to collect things in)
Last year at Flaming Gorge Hudson cast his own pole for the first time, this year he mastered it!

Hudson was a very serious fisherman, he had to go away from all of us loud people that might scare his potential catch away
and of course five minutes into it Jagger and Charli are wet and in their underwear
Jagger also learned how to cast his pole and was amazing at it. He fished for hours casting his pole, reeling it in and casting it again.
THE BOAT
We rented a boat for the day and went out on the lake. The fishing was bad but the lake was beautiful and the kids had a ball, especially when Papa let them drive the boat!

the boys climbed some rocks and found little lizards running all over. They had a great idea to catch some and give Rio some company.
There is a very sad ending to this story. It wasn't until long after we were home and the three lizards had been living together that it dawned on us that maybe these are not vegetarian lizards like Rio. Once we realized it was too late and the little guys went to lizard heaven. So sad:(
